The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) is the world's largest mathematics education organization, designed to provide the vision and leadership necessary to ensure a mathematics education of the highest quality for all students. The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) is the world's largest community of mathematicians, students, and enthusiasts. Its mission is to advance the understanding of mathematics and its impact on our world. The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) advances the application of mathematics and computational science to science, engineering, industry, and society. The American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) is the only organization exclusively devoted to providing a national forum for the improvement of the instruction of mathematics in the first two years of college. AMATYC has approximately 2,500 individual members and over 100 institutional members in the United States and Canada.
